Prairie

As one of the several gardens at the Horticulture Center, the prairie offers horticulture students the ability to study native plants, and provides them with a landscaping tool. The prairie also offers a return to green space in Bloomington-Normal, as students work to re-establish the native Illinois form of the prairie space. This garden is focused on the public's strong interest in native plants and energy-conserving landscapes. Colorful combinations of native forbs and grasses will make this a garden of lasting beauty.
